Mastic Dreams

News | posted on 7/26/11

One of our favorite flavors here at Victory Garden is Mastic Dream. It is scented with Mastic, a unique resin that comes from a tree from the island of Chios in Greece. The resin is a heat activated spice, which takes on an aromatic, piney flavor when cooked. It shines through in cream-based desserts, especially ice cream. We love serving it here at the shop, because it is something that always evokes a reaction from our customers. We want Victory Garden to be a place where you will always find something new and unique, whether it be a topping, flavor of ice cream, or product from our barn. Try our Mastic Dream topped with Honey and Pistachios, a trio made in heaven.

It did not take long before I noticed how effective they were, and started buying them for all of my friends. Everyone agreed- these lip balms were the best they had ever tried. (more…)
